Ceylon Cinnamon (Cinnamomum Verum)(Bark)
What is Ceylon Cinnamon?
Cinnamon is derived from the inner bark of Cinnamomum trees. Cinnamon spice is made from the same inner bark, most of which is cultivated in Indonesia and China. Cinnamon bark extract has the same aroma and general flavor of kitchen quality cinnamon spice without the cinnamon oil content found in most cinnamon spice products.
Ceylon Cinnamon Benefits:
The oils found in Ceylon cinnamon are thought to reduce spasms, reduce gas (flatulence), stimulate the appetite, and fight bacteria and fungi. Cinnamon might also decrease blood pressure and blood lipids. Ceylon cinnamon chemicals might work like insulin to lower blood sugar.
