Cinnamon is derived from the inner bark of Cinnamomum trees. Cinnamon spice is made from the same inner bark, most of which is cultivated in Indonesia and China. Cinnamon bark extract has the same aroma and general flavor of kitchen quality cinnamon spice without the cinnamon oil content found in most cinnamon spice products.
